About

How I got here

I’ve always moved my body a lot and to begin with yoga was just another activity ….

Confronted with slowing down in pregnancy, then parenting 3 young kids in Costa Rica, my practice evolved into something more - a refuge to take care of me. I finally learned to balance noise and movement with quiet and stillness. At least occasionally!

After 20 years as a student I did Teacher Training to deepen my own practice. But something happened.

I realized that sharing what works for me had true value for others. And I realized that I loved it. 

On returning to Switzerland in 2015 I gave up working with International Organisations and set up SimplyYoga (also running StudioHQ in Mies for 3 years). I still move a lot –plunging in cold lakes, trail running and snowboarding across the Alps - but I continue exploring my inner world too. My practice nurtures my mind, body and soul. And I share what I learn with others.

I firmly believe that yoga is for all. All sizes, shapes, histories and levels of fitness/mobility. The benefits are deep and wide. And you never have to stop. You simply have to start. I warmly invite you to join me.….. 

My teaching reflects my practice

I teach intelligently sequenced Vinyasa (flow) suitable for most bodies. Each class is unique, exploring specific themes for a few weeks.

Regular students feel their progress. Beginners are welcome and I encourage everyone to accommodate as they need. For an intro to the basics with supervision I offer Foundation Courses. I teach in English and also speak French.

I am particularly interested in yoga for healthy ageing: improving mobility, posture and bone strength whilst boosting immunity and heart health. And crucially guarding against falls, osteoporosis and the effect of stress.

I love to play and that the exploration never stops.

I encourage curiosity and exploration.Once you ‘achieve’ something you simply move to another, more subtle, layer. My classes reflect this moving forward or sideways in small steps, and always savouring each breath and moment.

I teach small-group and private classes to a friendly group of international students in my home studio in Commugny and at Mies Plage. There are online classes to practice in the privacy and comfort of your own home - or get the video replay. I shared lunchtime re-charge classes at the UK Mission to Geneva and IUCN and from May-Sep offer SUP yoga on the sparkling Lac Léman.

I’ve been practicing more than 25 years and teaching since 2015. I have students who’ve been with me for years and it’s a privilege to share their journey. I’ve seen time and again that everyone -  at any life stage -  can reap the vast benefits of regular yoga practice.
